MASTER IN PHARMACY (M.PHARM)

Eligibility

A candidate should have passed B.Pharm examination of any recognized Indian University as established by law in India or should have completed any other degree courses in pharmacy recognized as equivalent by Pharmacy Council of India,(PCI) and/or All India Council of Technical Education (A I.C.T.E,) for this purpose and should have secured not less than 50% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years) prescribed for the qualifying examination. Then s/he shall be eligible for admission to the M.Pharm course.For SC / ST / Category-I candidates must have a degree in B.Pharm.

Specializations

A choice of 7 disciplines are available at present, the areas are as follows : Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Quality Assurance, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacy Practice

Attendance Requirement

A minimum of 80% in both theory and practical (regular) class is essential to be eligible for sessional as well as annual exams.

Scheme of Exam

Sessional Exam: 3 sessional exams will be conducted for 30 marks each, in practicals and theory respectively.

Annual Exam

To be conducted by University at the end of 1st year and at the end of IInd year ( M. Pharm Part II )the students have to submit a dissertation to the university and attend viva voce thereafter.
